well ben screwed over a bunch of people now everyone hates him, and re came out with new woofers at insane price so everyone hates them also. fi car audio is a new sub company started by very knowledgable people who used to have ties to re and they make great subs and they are the new forum boner. and ed didnt change names he is saying they went "mental", ele "mental", get it?

There is alot of great Subwoofer companies out now that you can choose from, thats the main thing...and alot of them are very good.... The BIG problem lately is customer service in one way or another from some of these internet companies...they just cant get their shit together sometimes and they leave end users hanging or outright lied to.

What ever happened 3 years ago was a learing point for some an a reason to be better for others. I will continue to support them and enjoy the products.

customer service is deffinatly a big one on my list. but in hte spring i am gonna switch over to elemental. i am gonna get that nine.5 and a 13ov.2 and some noew front components. i like there stuff

my friend has been talking to eD lately, he will be purchasing a nice package from them, 2 13ov2 2 nine.1, nine.2x, 120ft of edead1se2, 20ft of their teklite, and some wiring.

HE thinks it like a one spot shop, we'll see how it sounds i guess.

Nobody hates RE...everyone was pissed off that a company who used to be geared for DIY and the consumer suddenly thought it was best go go mainstream with little warning. Going main stream eventually, sure. They went mainstream in a matter of months. Then they put out bull shit reasons for the price going up and didnt have that good of a dealer network to sell for cheaper to a lot of us. Then the new and improved XXX turned out to be more of a Penis englarger than anything else.

I totally disagree on your comments about the XXX, but unless you've played with one yourself how would you know that they are "penis enlargers"?

Loud and clean is what i get out of mine with great lows, seems like thats what it was made for IMHO.

There's a distinction between the products and the owner, to some degree.

I still won't sell my e12a.22, but I won't give another dime to Ben, nor could I recommend anyone else do the same...

i got into car audio early 2005 so i didn't know much about EDs past. i bought a set of speakers, comps, and a sub from them without any problems. the ed 6000s were ok, amps are nothing special although i like the look, but i still use my 11kv2. its hits pretty hard for small sealed and sounds good....the price is right otherwise they would of dissapeared a long time ago. the people who were ripped off by ED have a right to be pissed, but they have changed and are expanding like crazy.
