i used to spend alot of time at this site daily. it seemed people worshiped this company. another was resonant engineering (re audio?).

it seemed like in almost every thread you would see these two companies.

well ben screwed over a bunch of people now everyone hates him, and re came out with new woofers at insane price so everyone hates them also. fi car audio is a new sub company started by very knowledgable people who used to have ties to re and they make great subs and they are the new forum boner. and ed didnt change names he is saying they went "mental", ele "mental", get it?

Nobody hates RE...everyone was pissed off that a company who used to be geared for DIY and the consumer suddenly thought it was best go go mainstream with little warning. Going main stream eventually, sure. They went mainstream in a matter of months. Then they put out bull shit reasons for the price going up and didnt have that good of a dealer network to sell for cheaper to a lot of us. Then the new and improved XXX turned out to be more of a Penis englarger than anything else.

Stereo Integrity has been around for a while. They just didnt get really big (on this forum) untill a few people on the forum bought one or two of the new Mags. Kinda like Fi, or RE, or eD, or ascendant, or SoundSplinter, or the Type Arg...

Of course, that's how the boners start. Some noob with a certain budget comes in asking for a recommendation for a product. The people who have already purchased stuff see all the other options they had and are curious on how much better that stuff could be. Over time, they begin to believe it is better and recommend it hoping that the noob can have a better outcome. The noob then buys the equipment and turns around and starts praising it's name. Once this happens, everybody now takes that experience and holds it as some high opinion that has been validated through many tests and then the boner continues to increase.
