What guage wire to connect a 1500W amp driving 1200W woofers?

I’ve never seen wire melt.... I have seen the coating melt off though due to a short. It right through dudes air filter box like butter

your an idiot.... its gonna melt when too much current passes through it, if not we would all be running 12awg for thousands of watts

I use zero gauge for all amps rated 1000 watts or higher. Not saying that I NEED to but I do.
