What going on with my sub?????

box is 3.4 tuned to 33hz if I remember right isn't the rms 600rms? It probably doesn't have the suspension to handle 20hz in that big of a box.

**** it.... ram was suppose to make it 27... how hard would that be to change? a longer port on the back of the port? or would fit not be worth changing?

what kinda woofer? lol ur ascendant arsenal?

maybe ,i have found that the ascendant woofer tend to play notes better than most.but maybe a stiffer suspension would help.how much power are you sending the woofer and at what ohm

well its on on an apsm1300 so prbly not true power. and at 1 ohm. supposedly its 1000w at 1 ohm. but i think its prbly closer to 700-800

its prolly the box tuned too low and too big

its at 31 and 3.5 cubes. fits exactly into the specs for the sub.

Sealed ~ 2.0 to 2.5 ft^3

Ported ~ 2.5 to 3.75 ft^3 @ 28 to 32 Hz

Mounting depth: 8"

Mounting flange to top of surround: 1.5"

Well if anything I would troubleshoot with RAM since he was the one who you got the plans from.

Did you give ram the tuning or did he come up with it based on the sub?

try turning your gains or boost down a bit

yea i seen that ,but those are usually the only reasons why a sub will bottom out

crap.... so to fix this i can get a different sub, make the port longer? (doesn't that make it lower?) or put some kind of filler in??? like on the side of the box opposite the port could i just throw in another sheet of 3/4 mdf or birch and that would make it smaller?? or would that not be enough or would it screw other stuff up?
