Basing this off what?

According to the wire sticky in the electrical section. Although the ratings are at 20' for a reference.

16 gauge: ~8.7 amperes

8 ohms -

6 ohms -

4 ohms -

3 ohms -

2 ohms -

1 ohm -

12 gauge: ~21.8 amperes

8 ohms -

6 ohms -

4 ohms -

3 ohms -

2 ohms -

1 ohm -

I say 12 gauge because daily on music is so dynamic that it'll average probably around 350-400w in terms of the heating ability of the current passing through the wires.
