What gauge wire?

thats the diagram. what gauge should i use? I was thinkin 12, or will that be too big?

Is it for the subs?

If so, I think its fine. IMO, you can never go TOO big on wire as long as you can work with it easily.

I have a question. The gauge of the wire is by each strand of it right? like a 14 gauge speaker wire is really TWO 14 gauge speakers wires just one connects to negative one to positive right?

Two 16 gauge wires = one 14 gauge.

you are correct, 2 runs of a xx gauge wire is equal to xx-3 gauge.

eg 2 runs of 16 = 13.

16 gauge is too small for 800 watts @ 1 ohm. Go 12, or at least double 16.
