What gauge wire to use?

what gauge wire should i use for a Phoenix Gold Xenon amp? 800watts, can i get away with 8 gauge or should i go with 6? what will the amp even accept?

as big as possible. go im sure the amp will accept 4 guage.

im waiting on it in the mail, i want to be able to have everything installed so once the amp gets here i can just plug and play.

I'd do 4 gauge.

If it doesn't fit in the terminals, trim off some excess wire.
