Will this be too much power for 8 gauge wire?

i got this shitty like 8 gauge wire that came w my car. if i run a 1000 w massive amp at 4 ohm which only makes 250 watts, thats fine right? just cuz its a 1000 watt amp right?

8 gauge will handle that kind of draw without a problem.

You'll start blowing fuses at 1 ohm, though.

I would run larger. because you may upgrade or run higher in the future. go big or go home...LOL... but yeah just do it.
