What gauge wire for sae-1200d?

i have never used anything bigger then 4gauge, is there a difference between 1/0 gauge and 0 gauge? if so which is bigger? which one should i run with this amp? what brands are good? knukonceptz? monster? sound quest?

1/0 is the same as 0. 4 gauge is probably enough but I'd go ahead and run 0 so you don't have to upgrade later.

Well my first time ever messing with 4gauge was last weekend for my girlfriends car and i had a hell of a time trying to strip wire that big around, how the hell do you guys do it? special strippers?

I have to agree with bobbyDD.

I use a razor blade to strip 1/0 and 4g.

alright cool so i wasnt being too ghetto by using a knife. I just am not sure on how much to buy, it will be going in an expedition when i get one in a week or two, im guessing maybe like 25 feet? I cant decide on whats a good brand either. i used knukonceptz for my girlfriends car it seemed easy to work with.

I have an Expedition too. I bought the 1/0 kit from Kicker which includes a 20' piece of power wire and a 3' piece of ground wire. I had enough left over to do the Big 3. I highly recommend the Kicker PKD1 kit.

I'm in an expedition also..I got by with 17' ft to just right behind the 2nd row seating...and 3' ground wire to the seat post

Definitly use 0 gauge if you can,it's highly suggested by Jacob Fuller(Sundown owner)
