What gauge wire for bass amps?

Hi guys.. I purchased a MB Quart OA1000.1 to power my subs (wired to 1 ohm), and a 800.1 to power my fronts/rears.

Just picked it up from the shop - and it sounds AWESOME. But.. when I got home, I noticed he ran 4ga off my battery. Is that ok? I always thought I needed 2ga wire. But perhaps I am wrong? Is 4ga ok?

So you have 2 mono block amps running the entire system ? Depends on the amp draw if the wire will work or not. If ofc wire you'll prolly be fine. If cca. You might wanna get ofc or bigger wire

i wouldnt hurt to run 2ga of course it would be a better choice. but i think you should be ok with 4ga, but the 2 will give you head room

maybe safe, but the bigger the better!!!

it'll be fine, i'd put in a second battery to be safe tho.
