Amp 500 or less

why dont you get that lanzar and run it at .5ohm
If I got the Lanzar it'd be running at half ohm... are the optis as good as they used to be? I've also been throwing out the idea of running less power to two 12's in a 4th order. At the same time, it never hurts to have more power on tap.

I've already got the electrical to back it from what I was running before so running at 1ohm should be fine. I'm just not sure if the opti puts out rated power or not.

I posted a thread on here where (ebay) a pawn shop had a fusion fca 4000d for 400 plus shipping, that will crush alot of *****, rated at 12v

fusion fca 4000d

Damping Factor 200

Variable Subsonic Filter 10Hz - 50Hz

Variable Input Adjestment 0 - 12 dB @ 45Hz

THD 0.05%

5-Way Protection Thermal, overload, DC-offset, short curcuit and reverse polarity

CEA 2006 OUTPUT POWER @ 14.4VDC

2007 Watts RMS per channel @ 4 Ohms and 1%THD+N

S/N 65 dBA (reference 1 watt into 4 Ohms)

ADDITIONAL POWER RATINGS 12.6VDC

1780 Watts RMS per channel @ 4 Ohms and 1%THD+N

3100 Watts RMS per channel @ 2 Ohms and 1%THD+N

3890 Watts RMS per channel @ 1 Ohms and 1%THD+N

ADDITIONAL POWER RATINGS 14.4VDC

3160 Watts RMS per channel @ 2 Ohms and 1%THD+N

4120 Watts RMS per channel @ 1 Ohms and 1%THD+N

This amp will do over 9000 watts RMS on 16v @ 1/4 ohm on a tone

You can do a lot better than a Lanzar and get a lot of power at 2 ohms for $500 if you look to Brazil.
trumpet I've been really interested in the Taramps but I've only seen some heavily marked up ones. I talked with a lady down at Taramps because a buddy of mine wanted to get them in his shop but he never ended up getting em'.

Pm a price list on those amps... how efficient are they? What kind of power could I be looking at if I went back to stock 140a alt? I'm running a 270a now but I'm interested in the idea of competing at stock electrical too.

As mentioned earlier I've got a crossfire xp2400. Puts out close to 3k watts at 2 ohms for 330+ shipping. Will be hard to find more power than this for cheaper
I'm really considering this but do you know how efficient it is? I'm thinking of going back to stock electrical to compete, stock I have a 140a alt... I'd be running it with one bat under the hood and two in the trunk. I'm still so up in the air as for the build. Looking to do a 4th order build but don't know how much power/what will fit and work best in the trunk.

I don't send out a price list, my quote is based on what few amplifiers a person is considering for their specific needs. Taramp's has published detailed specs on all of their amplifiers, including maximum current draw to expect on music and on sine waves. Their power ratings are at 12.6V. Right now it appears their web site is undergoing changes, but the Portuguese version at least has access to specifications. It looks like you could easily run the HD 2500 2 ohm model on the 270a alternator, although it will be unable to keep up with full output on sine waves using the 140a alternator. Extra batteries will be essential.
