I have been told to use 12 gauge for my setup which will be each sub getting around 750 rms. My local shop was out of 12 gauge but did have 14 gauge. Could I twist the 14 gauge together and it be just as good? Or could 14 gauge be enough? The whole system will pull 1500 rms between 2 subs. Thanks. Just curious

You mentioned 1300-1500w in the other thread -- so amp running at 2 ohms, each sub at 4?

750w at 4 ohms will work w/o a problem with 14 gauge. Max current draw would be less than 14A so any losses would be negligible.

If your impedance is lower than that current will increase and you should probably double up the 14 ga which would effectively make it 11 ga.
