welll yeah some say it is. I have herad ppl running 8 guage to there subs for spl comps. BUt it will not hurt anything.

I use 10 awg for my subs. They get a little more than 2200w right now. Hooks up real nice with dd's 10 awg direct connect terminal.

how do they fit that big of wire? my 10 ga BARELY fit into my L7s terminals. it looks big and weird coming out of the port dont know if i like it, all my wiring still needs cleaned up i got some new stuff to install first though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif digital distro block and new underdash inline fuse holder both stinger

just too lazy to upgrade....

even though now I think about it, if I'm runnin 900 watts into a 1 ohm load, the voltage @ 900 watts would be sqrt(900*1), or 30V. since watts = current * voltage, 900 = I * 30. Current = 30amps. wow, I should really upgrade!

im using some 14 guage i picked up at ace hardware.. for like 14 bux with my employee discount.... actually its some good wire... 100% oxygen free... and its got some thick ass surrounding on it..... but actually im gonna be uprading to some scoshe 12 guage that you get from wal mart for like 12 bux for 18 feet!! its good ****
