what electrical upgrades do I need for this monster build?

build a box inside the trunk of your corolla, trust me it will be worth it. if my single cvr 15 hits so clean and gets pretty low im pretty sure whatever sub you will run will sound twice as good cuz im pretty sure you wouldn't run a kicker lol. yeah like I said before my single 15 hits louder than my friends 4 type r 12s in a sealed box in the trunk of his maxima. air space is king.

and yes im serious about this build, my limit is 5k, and since im going with havocs that's about enough. the rms on 4 havoc 18s is exactly 5k. I do want sp4s also, who says I cant have both? ill have 4 havoc 18s in my z71 hoe that's my weekend warrior. I have a 93 burbon in my backyard, 150k original miles. its in good condition! well, kinda neglected but now that im into bass more than ive ever been I can throw 4 sp4 18s in there in a wall or something. it will take time to complete a build that big but I know ill be able to do it

w/e you wanna do man, make a build log. I'm starting a new build soon, log comming next week. FI, AA, SSA are very similar subs so pick your poison and save a lil for the electricals.

for batteries, 55 amp hours for every 1000 watts you run, less if you run xs power

around 7-8 amps of alt power for every 100 watts so at least a 350 amp alt for 5k. After rise, it should not be too bad on the electricals.

2 amps will do fine on 4 G31 batts and a single 270-350a alt "assuming" amps at 1ohm each. Even .5 with imp rise you should be fine.

I ran 6 3500's at .5 each on 18 batts and a single 270xp for over a year. Full tilt would drop bad in 30-45 seconds, but back off a few clicks and I could demo for full songs np...

headed in a completely different direction. just ordered 4 SSA XCONs, it was a last minute decision. its gna be 4 xcon 18s on 2 SQ/BC 3500s. oversized ported box tuned to 29hz

that's awesome man, i read about xcons and looked into them and they are exactly what i want, the price range, the rms rating, xmax, everything. they were a perfect match for me. now, i gotta think of what im gna do with my 4 cvr 15s and my 2 brx1600s

Yea I figured that out the hard way because I had a 3.5 custom box built for a 15" Fi Q and the box didn't fit by 1". I was so pissed. Didn't account for the trunk opening. I didn't wanna build it inside just in case I wanna swap it out. I downsized to 1 12" Fi Q ported but eventually I felt it wasn't loud enough for my needs. So I ended up with 4 10's, ported it low and am pretty satisfied with the output.

About 2 days ago my corolla got T-boned by an old man going pretty fast and I think it's totaled. I need to get an estimate today to find out if it's worth fixing or not. I finally get to take a vacation to Oceanside, CA at a beach house this weekend and this guy ruins my car. What a burn. I dun wanna rip out everything and start over. This car has sentimental values too. It has over 330,000 miles on it right now original motor and transmission. Been through a lot with this car. I'm pretty sure I can even go over 400,00 and still be running too. I'm gonna try to milk this guy if I can. I will post pictures soon.

On the bright side though, it was my friend's bachelor's party and we got so wasted and partied like no tomorrow.

You need to address electrical before installing your amps. I would say a single big alt at a minimum, 2 if you can fit/afford it. As many batteries as you can fit/afford as well. But with only 7kw, 4G31's is probably fine. Also don't run SHCA wire. I wouldn't even use it for free. Do some research, they pack the Casing loosely, only 35** strands when they claim 5200, sold many customers (including me), used items that they are selling as brand new. SHCA is slowly but surely killing itself. People actually gain on the meter when they switch to something else from SHCA power wire.

that ***** man, and you know whats funny. my corolla got rear ended last November and its still messed up, im waiting on the insurance to finish with the investigation and there gna pay me some money to fix it. ppl trip out cuz they see my trunk half way open and bass is pumpin out the windows lol that trunk being like that helps with rattle! jk, I want to fix it as soon as possible. hopefully you get ur car back on the road, these corollas are great cars, I love em. and yeah Impala and Neto I plan to upgrade the electrical to where theres is like no voltage drop whatsoever. a bank of batts and a couple alts should fix that, and I run knuconcept wiring, kofc. hey impala how are those 21 inch wardens?

yeah i was not happy with my 12 gauge sky high cca at all. The audiotechnix ofc i had was huge compared to it. I heard the 2/0 is a different story though
