What do you use to clean the surface before deadening?

I was going to use regular CVS-brand rubbing alcohol, but I read denatured alcohol is better because it's more concentrated. I stopped by a local Grainger and they didn't have it in stock.

I picked up a can of this 3M Stainless Steel cleaner/polish .. will that do the trick?

pretty much anything that will remove grease and dirt on metal will work.

i use it at work when i get butly tape on cars exterior and or interior though getting it off the interior is a tad harder and needs to be done a certain way but you dont have to worry about that.
