i have one (1) 200 amp alt. and my system im sure demands asmuch or even more power and mine performs perfect

well i try not to tell people what they must do, rather give them options. i would prefer to err on the positive side. if he's going to competitions, i would only assume that he would need 2 200A alt's seeing as how each of those amps draws, i'm not sure if this is the correct number, around 170A. and if he's at idle, each of those amps only produce 100A. The 200A alt that i got does 100A at idle, 200A at around 2000RPM, and MECA only allows you to go up to 1400, so 2 200A alt's would be optimal, but not necessary(sp? i never could spell that word)

oh, and i'm sure that his will draw much more, seeing as how both of your amps combined are rated at 2000W whereas his will be rated at 3200W.

o well i totally agree with u on the alts.... no doubt...if he is gonna compete defently...im not a competitor by any means...lol....

and secondly i had no idea the specs. of them amps....my bad... no biggy

i figured they RMS at about 1200 or soo...but 1600 is tight

yup, 1600. i hope that once i get enough money i'll be going with RE's amp(also 1600W) and either a 15" brahma or a XXX
