I'm no SPL pro by any means, but isnt 170 plus or minus a few a record? I remember seeing video of that white Pioneer Ford F250 setting a record at 170. I believe that truck later caught fire in transport, and burnt the whole cap off the back.

I am the ex-pro installer that justin speaks of. As of today I have decided to go with 4- xx-colossus amps instead of the two 10kws amps, two 12" goliath 3212's. Shooting for a smaller score in the streetbeet 2 class as amps and batterys are unlimited. The vehicle will be a 88 civic hatchback, the windows are being replaced with 1" lexon and the floor/doors cemented, should turn some decent numbers if not beat most of the local competiters, although I havent been to a show in ten years!

I think it shloud be too, I used to ride around listening to 150's man was I stupid. I was just telling my girl today about how I used to do that and she was like "Are you dumb?" I said " As far as I know theres no damage, Guess I was lucky!"

neo i was thinking we could try to get sponsored by local places and shops so we can cut back on personal costs, maybe that car wash i use to work at will hook us up.

and we need to get this started soon, i get my first check from my new midnights job this comming thursday.

Well we can go get the 1" mdf from 11 mile and coolidge(durst lumber) Last time I bought from them the 4X8 sheet was 45.00. We'll need at least 4 sheets to start, Im off tomorrow mon. So whenever I get up im going call them and get price, Im sure they'll have to order it as well.

K, Went up to durst lumber they have 3 sheets, and are ordering more. 43.00 a sheet not bad seeing how ten years ago they were 40.00 a sheet. So this weekend its on as for getting the wood.

Good Luck with this i wish i lived in MI i would want to hear it. Ive heard plenty of 140-150 DBS setups. Ive never heard a 153+ setup. Hope the best to all in the project
