What do you guys think of my system?

Yeah, very true. It's all happy now though. It sit's happily up around 13-14 (my gauge isn't exactly precise) or whatever normal running is on my car. I think the cap usually says 13.8 and on heavy bass lines I'll hit like 13.4, which by my standards is fine. However, picture me driving down the road on a 50 degree night with the blower motor on for heat, rear defroster on because my little car likes to fog up quickly, headlights on because it's dark, fogs on because I like them, and heaven help if it's raining and I have to run the wipers too. lol The second I hit the clutch and drop to Idle my voltage drops to 12. lol Then as I accelerate away from the stopsign or whatever it jumps back up to around 13-14 again at 1800 RPM or so. Thank God I haven't fried my alternator yet. The 800CCA battery can't hurt either.

Lol! My first system was the phonix gold amp on 8 ga. (hey that's not bad), a pioneer HU AM/FM/CD (a little outdated but certainly usuable), those same pioneers in the trunk (before they got wrecked), and to top it all off, old school kenwood 5.25"s in the doors not even sealed with the speaker grill. (just went real down hill). My brother gave me everything in his old car which was awesome (still using most of it) and like $50 for supplies a couple boxes i used for the 6x9"s and the kenwood 5.25"s. Not bad for $50 bucks
...Then comes my "second system" those same two outdated kenwood Coaxials in the doors and an MTX thunder 4000 sub in a drum. Yes, you heard right, it didn't have a box so my friend put it in a drum and took the skins off. It was amazing how good it sounded too. lol. let's just say, this system has come a long way.
lol the sad part is i paid 500 for my alpines and the HU i got wireing and installed at cartunes.....i was quite the dummy lol

But for real man, I think We've all done things that we wouldn't do over again. haha like drilling holes to "port" my 6x9 boxes. lol
