need help tracing wires with the dmm

now the colors of this car im working on has one set of colors on the factory harness and when you get to the speakers there are a different pair of colors..so my question is with using a dmm how do you trace the wires to find the speaker wires both pos and neg to each speaker

You don't have to do that...goto the12volt.com and they have a thing for wiring diagrams for tons of vehicles.

yea i know but i just want to know for GP.. so when im on the spot i can do it instead of trying to mess with my phone and get online and search stuff..sometimes i dont know what im working on untill a few minutes before and dont have time to get to the website

Take the door trim panel off, remove the speaker, and see what the wires look like
