What do you guys think about clarion

I have upgraded everything in my car to clarion all ready, well amp, deck and subs. It sounds really good. I used to have all sony shit and well its sounded like shit LOL. I now have two 10" PXW1042 dual 4 ohm voice coils, a 640 watt clarion amp. and a clarion deck, not sure which deck i think its DXZ 535 bot sure though. was just wondering what you guys all think about clarion. i never hear much about them.

If you're happy with it, that's all that matters.

There are a few guys around here with the APA amps and they don't seem to be having any problems with them. I've always been a fan of their head units - easy to use, aesthetically pleasing, seem to be built well ... likewise for the multimedia.

They've also built some nice demo cars over the years.

Clarion is nice. I think they really accel with their Head Units. I have one, it's awesome!

I thought that clarion and arc had the same boards for amps, maybe I am wrong though.

Only HU I'll ever own. Had three of them. Sold the first one to get a newer model only to have that one stolen and replaced it w/the one I currently have. (6770 to DRX9175L to DRX9375R) Thier top of the line speakers are awsome. Had a pair of the 5x7 plates, stolen w/the 9175, and was amazed at thier sound. Now I have a pair of thier 4x6 plates, and are amazed by them as well. Had a APA4160 and abused the hell out of it, it did everything I asked of it w/o hesatation.

Overall = decent products but the looks turn me off.

[used to] have the same general boards. I say "used to" because I don't know if they still do or not. Even then, it doesn't make them the same amps.

IMO Clarion's a pretty good brand. HU's are great, and amps are great (especially for someone on a budget). Never had much experience w/ their subs and speakers.
