what do u guys think of this car

insurance isn't going to be a lot on a 3k dollar car thats 15 years old.... however I would just make sure that everything runs good and that it has been well maintained. If that car ends up having a lot of mechanical problems it is probably going to cost you a lot of money unless you are willing to do the work yourself. I would just take it to a trusted mechanic before you buy it....

Did you ever get a chance to go check that Saab you posted about earlier out?
nah i allmost bought a 2004 350z but it had some body issues and i passed on that bi tch. im gona wait tell my lawyer get me my money. So i might just get a pos to get around town for now or i might just let the money stay in the bank. i really want a bmw , i want a truck for the leg room and so i can do somthing with all the space.

A lil more input on the Accord as I owned one, gas mileage is not all that super, sure it's good but I was seeing around 24 mpg, mainly highways. Driving like a granny I'd see 26mpg and driving like an ***, about 20 mpg and getting 300 miles for the tank. IIRC, it's got a 17 gallon tank and you can get 400 miles out of it, I've done it several times.
I'd replace the lights. I had them on and didn't realize how rice they were till afterwards. If you want OEM's, I still have mine. I'd replace the spark plug wires as well, those orange ones are quite ugly.

Installation audiowise is simple, especially the head unit. Speakers, you'll a little more than 2.54" for mounting depth with 1/2" baffles, and you can't do 3/4" because it will make the door panel stick out, unless you want to cut the door like I did...was just a tad.

Also, I'd lose the intake...sounds nice, especially when the "VTAKKK" kicks in, but you're losing power. I know a guy who worked at a shop and dyno'd all sorts of intakes for these Accords and they all showed a loss. The airbox on them has a bunch of rivets which have some sort of purpose but I can't remember exactly what the guy had told me. I didn't really notice much of a loss, nor did I notice a gain with my CAI.

I must say though, when I got my Megan Racing coilovers, the ride was a beauty and it handled MUCH better.
x2 on the mileage, i drive a 2000 4dr with the 2.3l vtech and the best ive seen is about 26 and i average 22-24 with a mix of hwy and city driving... At 130k the ****** went out and i just had to pay for labor to fix it. Labor ran $850 but i got off lucky cuz the ****** itself is about $3k. The car just rolled over 150k miles and it runs great and honestly the last 20k miles have been the hardest 20k its seen //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif but hey its a honda, itll last forever //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

lets say what would 14,000 get me for a nice used car. i know its a weird question how about we say honda, or a nice truck
For 14k ive seen fully loaded 05ish coupe accords with the 3.0L V6 with like 50k miles

And for trucks, you can get a lot right now for only 14k

so i should be good in the 12,000-16,000 range. im tryin to not get full covarge cuz i cant afford it. im on disabilty right now tell pretty much the summer time cuz of my hands.

in all honesty, i would see what a new car would get you. Look into the Honda Fit. I had 9k from car insurance settlement and i was looking at the Audi A4, A6, BMW 3 series, and the G35. I was pretty much set on one of these and got the G. I honestly would have rather gone with a Yaris, Fit, or something of the like.

Maybe your situation is different than mine, but although my payments are quite low for the car I got (a lil under 300), the gas is killing me, though lately prices have gone down drastically. I'd rather have gotten a cheaper car, pay it off and not have to worry about making any payments. Doing a purchase like this can also help your credit BIG time.

I love my car, but again, I'd rather have waited on getting a car like I have. Should you not decide to do that, then I'd recommend looking into a certified pre-owned vehicle. It's great to have a car that has a warranty on it so the only maintenance you need to worry about are common wear and tear items.

yea i dont wana get a new car anything that has under 50,000 milles on it and some kind warranty would be good. I should be coming in to some money from my car accident soon.I still have not got a check for my car i think there gona do it along with the injurys i have got. i found out today the other guy got only basic covarge even though i need 2 surgerys and have a chip in my back im only gona get 25,000 and my car wich is like 2,000. after i pay the lawyer i should get like a little under 20.000. i wana get somthing for 14,000.

You get about 25k and lawyers get only 5k? I would assume the lawyer to get more, about 10-15% more. Doctor doesn't get anything out of the 25k? When I got rear ended and was injured I got about 4.5k or so, can't quite remember exactly, but the lawyer and and doctor combined took close to half (I think total was 8k - 8.5k). The lawyer I had is one we have used for other issues so he didn't take as large of a cut.

Seems like you were in a pretty bad accident. You woulda thought mine was real bad since I was at a dead stop and got rear ended at 65 mph, but it wasn't all that bad. I went to about 3 months or so of massage therapy for my neck and back. I couldn't imagine what the physical injuries of an accident 3x the cost.

i have a chip in my lower verterberate. and i need to have to surgery on both of my hands. i have a surgery set up for jan 15. yea in new york its no fault and my car insurance company is gona pay for the surgery. and if its alot of money the other guys insurance gona pay for it. so the lawyer is gona take 33.3 so thats like 3,333 every 10,000. so lets say he gets alittle over 7,000 hes gona get. so im lookin at 19,000 or so. its all good im drunk now.

Yup, BMW parts aren't really that bad, but any labor costs at a shop that knows what they're doing gets expensive fast...but for a greasemonkey, it's reasonable to maintain. I'm not sure I'd buy it from a used dealership though, I'd probably hunt down a local enthusiast club or something and see if anyone has something for sale...you're not getting stealership prices, but you'll get something that (hopefully) has complete service records and has been kept by someone who gave a shit.

That kind of makes me feel bad, actually, that $3k for an M3 like that is overpriced...I'm looking to spend about that much on a BMW motorcycle that's 20 years older than that car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I have a 97 328i with 130k on iit just had to drop a new clutch and fly wheel in it cost $1200 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif other then that rides like a dream. I would pick this up for that price.
