What do I need?

Trying to do this as cheap as possible

My wireless gaming adapter went out on my xbox 360.

All the game adapters ive seen are $75-200. Id like to do this for less then $50

Any other options?

you can get the actual 360 adapter, but its about 100.00 i have an old regular xbox adapter that im using. it works just fine.

Yeah, thats what i was using with mine till it crapped the bed....

It sounds like you already have a wireless access point/router. If it was cheaper than the xbox receiver (and I believe it is), you could get another wireless router and use it to pull the wireless signal from the air, then just use a short ethernet cable to your xbox and let the IP flow that way.

I bought another access point, but now the settings on my xbox are being a bastard...I havent played LIVE in like 6 months and its driving me nuts

Yeah, im in the process of getting rid of the Q's I have now, i need new VC's and im not 100% sure on what subs im doing next!

My xbox connects, my ip passes, and now sometimes the DNS fails, but then if that passes, the MTU fails.

I just spent an hour trying to get it working with no luck, gonna drink a few beers and give it another shot
