Alright well i have the equalizer on my headunit and this is what it's set to:

50hz -4

125 -3

315 +3

800 +3

2khz +3

12.5khz +3

HPF Off

Loud Mid

Sub 80hz

Bass 2

Sub Amp- LPF around 80hz

Comp Amp- No HPF

Now when I unplug my subs I don't really hear any midbass from my comps? I probably tuned this all wrong and need some help. I'm redoing my gains tommrow but I can't wait till then so I figure I'd ask. If I need anything what whould it be external equalizer, crossover, etc.?

i would hope you have no midbass with the EQ set that way. that's a hard question to answer since no 2 systems sound the same. set everything flat on the EQ. drop in a CD or 320kbps mp3 of a good recording like The Eagles and set it again. should sound pretty good with your setup but you're probably not dialed in right with the EQ/Xovers.

I would reccomend a recording he is very familiar with over say The Eagles. I don't listen to that type of music so my system isn't tuned for it. A recording he is very familiar with, is important.
