What could the problem be? Still. Experts only please.

nah. i bought some new wires. i think my ground wire was burnt. but i got lazy so i just redid my entire wires. that's the result of my half-assed install. just redo your ground for now.

not sure what you are trying to say. this has nothing to do with the big 3. redo your ground as in running a new 4 gauge wire to a different ground spot. make sure that spot is sanded really well until you see bare metal.

When I had a problem like this, it was the battery. Slowly the battery was losing its charge, cutting on and off until after a while it wouldnt play. Just a thought.

Mine was a result of a mistake I made but still, same symptoms.

I second that. After I installed my system, after about 2 weeks my ground wire came loose from the screw. Every time I hit a bump it would move and disconnect the circuit causing my amp to shut off, but then turn back on.

Ok, my shop gave me a new pair of RCAs, and it KINDA fixed the problem, like it doesnt happen so often, but it still happened like once or twice.

So its not the HU, my grounds are good, not the speaker terminals on the box or amp, the amp is like brand new, not the subs either. So what else can be causing this problem?

Will a pinched remote wire cause this problem?

Can you check the voltage when the problem occurs or atleast see if the amp it turning off/on during the time sound is lost? Does it occur while on a bumpy road or making a turn? It sound like a loose wire some where since it works after the amp is reinstalled and works on a bench test. Could be a loose remote wire at the HU, could be connection at the amp, ground etc, so many palces to look and without a voltmeter you cant really know for sure. When the problem occurs check voltage of the remote wire and the main power, could even be a bad fuse.

Good call, I had a funky fuse before. Looked fine, but gave me all sorts of hell.

Like everybody else said, this is a case probably best addressed by starting over. You've eliminated the amp, you've eliminated the RCA, you say you've eliminated the headunit;

Check the wiring in the enclosure, inspect the tinsels, try different subs, unplug/replug harnesses, make sure no stray strands of wire are shorting anything (which may send your amp to protect for a moment) etc.

Use some good common sense and track the problem down.

probe, analyze, isolate, resolve.

ok, its not the wiring in the enclousure cause we took out both subs and everything was fine.

Weird thing was when the hooked up a 10w7 to my slash 500, it didnt cut out.

If you did that in your car,
then you've identified the woofer or woofers as the issue.
Well thing is, when they hooked up the 10w7, it didnt cut out, so they hooked back up my subs to try to measure the voltage with the DMM, and it never cut out again. Weird. So we thought the problem was solved, so i went driving around pumping my music. All seemed fine for about 1 hr. When i got back into my car again and drove around i noticed the problem was still there.

This is such a weird problem. Man its starting to piss me off.

Intermitant problem = bad connection, a wire is making contact some time, and others it is arcing or just not quite secure and causing your problem, either remote, power or ground. WHEN it occurs, do not do anything till you can get a voltmeter on it. Is the amp mounted securely? and if mounted to the box, can that move at all?
