if i leave the bass knob all the way down it does not do it when i turn it up it only does it when i turn the bass knob up

ahh I had a bass knob go bad, try not using the bass knob or if u have a spair try it

i am gunna try without the bass knob when i leave work and see if that does it i will let ya'll know when i get to the house in about hour and half

the base knob controls the gain. unplug the knob and set the gain at 0. gradually turn up the gain and see if the problem starts. might have something to do with a hella bad signal.

if the problem starts when the gain is cranked, set the gain where u want below that point. with the knob unplugged turn it to max and then plug it back in

Mine started doing the same thing yesterday, We had it on a meter and I took to long with some adjustments and smelled coil. Shut it off let it cool down and on the way home it started doing exactly what you are describing.

I'll let you know what it is causing mine later on today after I mess with it a bit.

not but i will this weekend for sure but i know i wired them 2 ohm b/c i had the laptop right there beside me looking at 12volt.com to tell me how to wire to 2 ohm so i know i got it right but i will check this weekend and try and tune the amp

its a signal issue if the subs are making sound.

1) Headunit could be shit (doesnt matter if its new, shit happens)

2) RCA's could be shit

3)could've messed something up internally in the amp (doubt it though)

4) its not the sub, if the sub is playing.
