What car should i get?

I'm not exactly sure what i want anymore, however, here is the criteria, maybe you guys could make some suggestions? In order of importance

* Reliable (Ie, not a Ford Taurus... Focus... or a Mitsubishi... Kia... Hyundai..isuzu, suzuki, saturn, bs like that.. i'm not a car mechanic, so i can't fix the shit that goes wrong with those cars)

* Not necessarily absolutely necessary, but FWD or AWD is preferrable... RWD is a pain in the snow

*Decent gas mileage is nice to have.

That's about it, i guess... Oh, and the most important quotient... my budget is $8000

id like a g35 for 8 grand. my self.
168000 miles?? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Maybe an accord, camry, avalon, prelude, maxima....

you looking for a sedan or coupe?

Any price range?
He did say his budget was about $8K.
twoohfour ~ That kinda money ought to get you into a reliable ride with no real issues.

Toyota Corolla

Toyota Camry

Honda Civic

Honda Accord

Nissan Maxima

VW Golf

VW Jetta

VW Passat

Things such as the above are what I would look at first (specific model years would depend on availability and asking price ~ have a look to see what's around) All are traditionally reliable and all are reasonably cheap to operate. Sure there are other options as well but were it me those would be the ones I looked to first. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Good luck on the car hunt.

either, but i'm thinking for all intents and purposes i'd get better use out of a sedan. piling people in and out of a coupe is a *****, even if they look cooler.

Honda Prelude 97-01 is definitely my favorite car within reason, period, but the insurance is too exorbitant on that car for me...

The reason we had to sell my current car is because it was ~$300 a month for comprehensive insurance, and you're required to have comprehensive on a new car if you're making payments.

So i need to get a car that i don't have to make payments on, with low insurance...

Those are exactly the cars i was looking at, minus the jetta/passat at least.

I really like the VW GTi... but aren't those fairly unreliable themselves?
