evo 9 with 5k worth of mods since the base price is about 35k

yes we were lol...i told him the evo would spank that jeep 0-60, 1/4, etc...

I dont know if you are implying about illegal street racing, but i think illegal street racing is pointless. Like what wErd said, minely as well just jump off a 50 story building and get the adrenaline rush from there.

well,comparing those two isnt really much of a comparison at all. I completely understand that the jeep will pull the 0-60 run in under 5 seconds, but you must realize that it is all wheel drive. You see alot of high end cars hit their 0-60 times right around the same time as the jeep, but they lack the all wheel drive train. Their pull through the rest of the quarter is much better because they have less weight, faster top end acceleration, ect... The evo is also all wheel drive, but is much lighter and will accelerate greater at top end speeds than the jeep. The jeeps quarter mile time, if im not mistaken is high 13 - mid 14's? The evo is significantly under that, coming in at a low 13. 5G on a turbo car is lots of fun. WIth the right mods, $5000 will put the evo in the 12's very very easy.

i think its fun to drive my moms X5. its the 4.6, trying to get her to get the new 4.8, but anyway, it will flat out smoke most cars out there. AWD+340hp. for a SUV, its plenty fast. but not fast like the old cobra, but enough to have fun embarrassing ricers in a SUV.

Until you get them both at the track and run them, no one really knows. but if your going to put the difference in price into the evo, that means you have to strip the jeep down to same weight as evo. And to be honest, from a small 10 mph roll, i think the jeep and the evo would be a good race. But racing a SUV and a car is kinda crazy anyways, stay in same price range and run a 03-04 evo against an 03-04 cobra hehe.
