I have a 43x17x26 (Width x height x depth) space for a regular rectangular box, if i need more space there is a lot more, just would have to build a more complex box.

I want to do 2 15''s ported (tuned in mid 30's i'd imagine), would this be enough space with port area and what not? Just trying to get a general idea, enclosure design has never been my strong point, just want to make sure its feasible before i purchase subs.

that's 9 cubes before displacement. you could do a couple of 15's ported, but avoid subs that need larger boxes. kicker is an example. you're looking at under 8 cubes after port and sub displacement. there are 15's that do well in 3.5-4 cubes, just know that when buying. i personally would probably just do a single big 15. in my world, anything above 1000 watts rms is "big".:crap:eek:ther guys would just laugh off 1000.

Nah I've done single 15's before, this time around I'm doing the system right, finally have the money.

Right now depending on prices i may go with two IA deathrows with the free custom box promotion that's posted in the subwoofer forum. If those are too pricey I'll pick a couple of 15's up from the classifieds and build my own box.

ever consider a single 18? that's not my cup of tea really, i'd rather personally have 2 15's also (really past those days also), but i did some single 18 boxes for other people, and all of them were actually too loud for my taste. might be right up your alley.

Ya i had considered 18''s i actualy wanted to do 2 of them, but i don't think i have it in me to do that build, would be a ***** to fit the box, probably would have to be built in my car and wouldn't come out without sawing it apart haha.

I was thining the 2 15's instead of an 18 because obviously you get a lot more cone area with the 15's, which is going to be louder //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I have room for more box than the dimensions above. Those dimensions are just for the easiest to build box, could squeeze a few more cubes outta my trunk easily, and a few more cubes on top of those extra ones if i get really ambitious.

98 camry, if i built a box that got wider and taller towards the back of my trunk i can fit this:

44x17x13 + 56x19x18. The first measurements are for further back in my trunk where its narrower, under my 6x9's, the second measurements are for the wider part further towards the back of the car.
