What budget component speakers

I need some good cheaply priced 6 1/2 - 6 3/4" comps to complement a 15" XXX, they need to be aleast 75wrms. Most people think the tweeters are too bright/harsh, but it's all personal preference really.

Dude get the Reference's. There is absolutely nothing wrong w/ them, they are a great money/performance value. The "harshness" is usually associated with Infinity's metal dome tweeters that are used in the Kappa's. Also look at PG Xenon's and I've heard great things about Rainbow's entry level comps but haven't heard them personally. I think the guys name is 6spdcoupe that sells them on here.

References not harsh? Hell no i have some (came with the car) and i cant wait to take them out....they rip your skull in half...

are you wanting the speakers and crossover? if you dont need the crossover, then you can go with a set of the AA poly mids. 100wrms. single 4 ohm speakers... very nice. i will be getting mine tomorrow with a set of tweets. it was ~130 shipped, but its only like a 4-5 hour drive from here to where they ship them.
