What brands to look for Subs for Sound quality?

Hi hispls, yes your right im running JL Sub on my truck, the build is finished and all working great. This is is for new build, Fiat 500 Abarth that im starting to plan, im probably going to be removing the backseat and do custom sub / amp rack. The idea of this thread was to open more my search into high sound quality subs to research for this build.

Stereo Integrity HST11mkll only require about .5 sealed, I am running the 18inch version and I am very pleased with it. It is basically a sundown zv5 for a sealed application dude, very soft suspension with an fs of 17hrtz, 2000wrms, wonderful customer service as well.

forget brands. learn what it makes for a great sq sub and what specs make a sub that works great in the style of box you want to run. personally i prefer ported boxes and for sq purposes look for a higher qts sub to have a wider spike around tuning for a smoother response curve. you will also want to look for features like shorting rings to lower distortion. a moderate amount of xmax i find to be desireable aswell but a lot is not needed because output will only be enough to blend with the front not drown it out. you will also want to learn about box building so you can tweak the box to get the response as close to your desired as possible. learn about different box types and there effects sealed, ported, ib, tline, horns and bandpass. true knowledge is way more powerful and effective than suggestions from others.

Anything that you install right. There is not a brand that's better. People don't design speakers to sound like crap.
