What box for a single Type R 12"?

What size should the box be? I'm putting it in the back of a '98 Isuzu Rodeo, so I don't have to worry about trunk space.

Powering it will be a Kenwood 9104D 1800w amp (900 rms).

I'm pretty sure I want a sealed box.

2-2.5 cubic ft tuned to 32-34. And no you do not want to go sealed with a type-r.

Rs do not do as well in a sealed enclosure. adio is just right, 2.5 cubes tuned low, ~32hz.

Why don't type r's work well with sealed?

They do work well sealed, but those with the most experience with Rs prefer them ported, as do I. They are louder and I think they sound better. It isn't all that difficult to design or build a ported box and in the end you'll be happier.
