Alright switching up to a single 12" CompQ.
I'm between several boxes but wanted general feedback about sizing and tuning.
-kicker specs say 1.75cuft - 3.25cuft, so boxes I'm looking at are within this range (after displacement).
I listen to primarily heavy-hitting EDM (no techno/house, more dubstep and liquid bass lines). Most of it generates higher bass lines, however I still want a good quality low-end. Right now, I have two 12 CompRs and I feel when I listen to bass with low freqs, it sounds bad.
Few questions before I post a few boxes I'm looking at:
-size: if I go lower or higher end of specs, what is the end result? Freq ranges, SPL v. SQ, output.
-frequency: if I go lower or higher ends of frequency, what is the end result? Most of the boxes are low 30s, however some are low 40s. Again, I listen to primarily EDM. Ultimately, I want to generate the best response curve with a ported box. I've tried sealed. It's nice, but I feel I compromise too much output so I want to stick with ported.
