What battery to get

Ok my battery quit on me. I was run a kicker zx1000 and an alpine 70x4 amp off my stock battery. Worked fine at first then it burped on me. Well my dad thinks the battery is old and just died so he asked me what battery he should buy for my truck. I dont mean to take advantage but if hes gonna buy me a battery, it mine as well be one large enough to power everything with no dimming. What battery should I get? I have done research but there are too many options. a good gel cell battery should suffice. but if he decides not to spend that much get one with the most cca as possible in acid.

Optima's yellow's are better then the red's for audio applications if I recall correctly. The red's are better for starting the car though.
