What battery has a great warranty/performance?

I'm in the market for a starter batt........was thinking yellow top but its only warrantied for 1 year, while the red top is for 3 years. I dont listen to my stereo with the car off. I will be getting a 180amp alt to support my system in the future.

If anyone has anything other then optima, please suggest, just make sure its warrantied!

red tops arent even warranteed for audio use ...... kinetik's is a one year warranty but they cover about everything but charging at 24v lol alot of the modded banks they make are 3-4 yrs old and are still going strong...

i was at walmart tonight, and they've got a 1000 cranking amp deep cycle for like $70, altho it's the size of a house

2 year free replacement on it, too

couldn't tell ya what the esr is on it, tho, probably not the best, but probably not the worst

Some battery distributors sell blemished batteries for like 1/3rd of regular price. I would call an interstate or exide distributor and ask.

Autozone has like a 3 year Direct Replace + 8 year Normal warrenty on Yellow Tops. They are only like $180 there too!

thats just what i wanted to hear....i just got a $150 gift card for autozone for xmas....my sister was so afraid i was going to buy one before christmas so she had to give it to me now:laugh:

on the autozone website i read 12 mo. free replacement, didn't know it was 36 month at autozone

Yeah, but they are cosmeticly blemished. Heck, if you aren't going to abuse them and cycle them a bunch of times, batteries usually hold up well.

Walmart Everstart Maxx's.

Nice batteries..I had 3 of them, sold 2 to a co-worker for like 30 bucks each, gave him the receipts, he ran to Walmart around the corner, exchanged them for 2 brand new ones, no questions asked.

autozone only upholds the 1 year free replacement on yellowtops

it's 1 year free replacement, and 2 years after that, but you pay useage fees.

red tops have 3 year free replacement
