What battery for approximately 2000 watts?

Alright, car is a 97 Honda Civic, not sure about the deminsions on the front battery, but I know it isn't too big, so what could I go with to power a 2000 watt amp?

Maybe a hc800 in the front? and 1800 in the back? What do you suggest?

When I had a single Sundown Audio 1500D...I was running a Yellowtop up front and a Kinetik 2000 in the back..and it worked just fine..

My friend runs a Soundstream PCA 2000D with 1 Yellowtop up front and 1 Yellowtop near the amp and his voltage never drops under 13.4..

A Kinetik 1400 should be plenty IMHO.....

well i am running 2300rms and i have no big 3 done yet but i have a 130amp alt, gold duralast upfront, with a run of 1/0 for pos and neg to the back battery stinger spv70 and only getting drops down to 12.7-13 volts when testing at the back battery at full tilt at idle with lights on

Those will do fine... Make sure 0guage and big 3 too and you'll have no problems...

A Kinetic HC2000, or 2400 would do you good.

kinetiks site says to put a 1400 in front and a 2000 in the rear, you will never fit a 1400 in the batt area of your honda unless you modify the batt area,

so 800 in front and 1 2400 in the rear, or maybe 2-1400's, depends on what other amps you have???

Measure the available space you have for the battery up front and compare it to the specs on the Kinetik site to find the right one. You can add any size Kinetik to the rear, the bigger the better.

I stand corrected, I just went out and measured my batt tray and it is

9.5" wide X 9" tall (including batt terminals) X 5" deep the 1400 will just fit, you might have to do a little massaging but nothing major...Sorry for bogus info...

Anyone know off the top of there head the size of a Group 75 battery? Or what size battery would fit in a 1996 Ponitac Grand Am 4cyl

Do yourself and your system a favor. Grab a hc2400 or a deka 9a31(cheap as hell, shipping is cheap too). Both will run 2000-2300 pretty well(ran that and voltage wouldnt go below 13.9)
