What charger do you guys own? I heard that the PM batterys could get damage and shorten its life span if not charge with the right AGM charger with float mode or w/e.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I was looking at this one. Would I be fine with this one?

http://www.batterystuff.com/battery-chargers/12-volt/multi-volt-input/JAC0891-41.html

This is what it does.

Stage 1: Constant Current Mode (CC)

The charger changes to constant current 12.0 A. When the battery voltage reaches up to 14.6v, the charging stage changes from (CC) Constant Current to CV (Constant Voltage) mode.

Stage 2: Constant Voltage Mode (CV)

The charger holds the battery at 14.6 and the current slowly reduces. The moment the current reaches 0.5 C (C= Battery Capacity), is called the Switching Point. The Switching Point is one of the great features of this battery charger that it can adjust the current automatically according to the battery capacity. Other chargers without microprocessors are not capable to adjust the current automatically.

Stage 3: Standby Voltage Mode

The charger maintains the battery voltage at 13.5v and current slowly reduces to zero. Charger can be left connected indefinitely without harming the battery.

i have the 12/16pm charger. best charger i ever owned. it also works very good when your testing.

before i got it i tried charging my 2 d3100s and i didnt have any luck. trickling them for over a month i couldnt get them to sit over 13.3.

Watch for jegs. They often have it on say. I got mine from them for 240 somthin. Not the 300 dollars. Or look on ebay and other forums. This is ONE BAD A$$ charger. you wont regret buying it.

i just bought a black and decker 2/6/10a charger, has worked for me for 2+yrs no problems... but its def not a big dawg battery charger, just a $39.99 one from Wal Mart

I ave a Batcap 12v and a Batcap 16v Charger //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I don't remember what each cost...but I know neither was cheap....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

About the same here I bought a 28 dollar 2-4-6 amp agm auto charger..I think it is retarded to spend 200+ for a charger unless you have a bank of batteries. Heck for the prices I am seeing these things fall too It would be like getting a 170 dollar charger for 1 150 dollar battery....Now I am not saying they are bad, just for a really good daily product a single or a couple batteries shouldnt need a charger worth more than the battery...

X2 but i also use a battery tender
Only problem with that. Is if you daily bump your BIG time system or daily bump your system during the week then have a few comps on the weekend. Your battery bank will sooner than later go down the drain with out charging them with a good charger.. I say this. If you have more than a few batteries.

I have a 250amp alt. But I still charge my batteries every other month. Just helps to keep them good for longer life. I found that out when I ran my batts never charging them just with the alt.
