It's the classic core.

Ah ok, that's not true Baltic Birch. True Baltic usually comes in 5x5 sheets at about $80 a sheet. Every layer is birch in it as well. Not just a veneer.

The only thing I can see happening is weird resonances, but bracing and 45's will take care of a lot of that..

I wasn't talking about sound...the cheap stuff is hard to work with, splinters and the layers can even start to come apart. Will split even with pre-drilling
