What are you guys cutting rods with?

I'm looking into using metal rods for braces. I looked at some at Home Depot already, but how do you get the exact length you need or do they need to be cut down? I didn't see the exact size I needed?

Reciprocating saw goes through it like butter.

Or a hack saw will work too, just more work.

Unless youre using a 5/8" rod a hack will be plenty fast, and theyre dayum cheap
