what are good 8" mid-bass speakers.

i think im going with 2 per door. was going to do 1 per door. but im looking for LOUD, SPL if it sounds good doing it ill be happy.

thats why i said 4 ohm speakers and wiring them to 2ohm. at first was thinking just wire 2 1 in each door but then it hit me i would not get a good sound stage going that.

so ya 2 per door.

but right now i can only do 1 set. so for now will be 4 ohm per ch.

as i want to get another 4ch amp.

sorry guy, will have to wait till tomorrow for what i have found. my battery went dead in my table before i could finish my test.

but from what i see its like from 65-70hz to about 150hz . im not totally missing then but needs more punch. now the low side from ( 65-70 to about 90hz was crap.

i trying adjusting my amp,, crossovers in my h/u but no good.

so need a 8" that will give me a good fill in that range.

Whats the diffrence from the ones you linked to and the ones you have that you will sell?
6.5 vs 8. Though I think they're actually 7 not 6.5

From what I recall of silver flutes they aren't great at playing lower mid bass

Honestly if you have depth go with anarchy. Last set I had I had them under powered big time and could tell they were serious business. I've got pseudo proper power this time so I'm excited. This thread may be motivation for me to get outside and work tomorrow

And what are your plans for your doors?
Add more deadener to outer skin. Install sheet metal wrapped in deadener to cover up the giant holes in the inner skin. Add ccf and mlv to door (I run over sized aggressive a/t tires which while not exactly bogger loud they aren't quiet either), install my exodus anarchy with trim rings and something to decouple the rings, add ccf and mlv to floor of truck

im sorry im not sure what ccf and mlv is ?

but thanks very much. now i know what i need to do. with 2 6.5's in each door i need to do that as my doors rattle very bad now. so i think my doors will be the first think i put deadner on.

You want SPL and punch in the chest. PA mids will do all that you want. I would NOT recommend going 4way active as 3way is all you need.

2 8's or 10's per door with enough power and whatever you're doing for tweeters. I wouldn't overcomplicate things as it's not necessary for what you're trying to achieve. 4way active is 99% used in SQ type set ups and isn't just plug and play to get the most out of it.

I run 15's in my doors and they will thump you in the chest and move your pant legs on kick drums. I "assume" that's what you're looking for.

I haven't tried Faital speakers yet, but have had good luck with Selenium, Eminence, and Dayton PA stuff. I build a lot of 155-160db demo cars and know what it takes to keep up with that kind of bass. I also build them to play real music and sound good doing it...

how do you get that midbass drum kick in the chest feeling? Do you need a lot of power on tap to achieve it? As of now my front stage plays it and its not missing any gaps, its just not impactful as a thump in the chest. PPI p900.4 with doors treated with fiberglass bags and sealed up gaps with deadener along with proper seals and baffles and still not getting impressive levels midbass in my doors, just enough to get by without getting completely pissed. I'm gettin the feeling its gonna be the speaker itself that needs work.

you got it buddy, thats what im looking for. at first i was thinking 10" but 8" will fit really nice. i can even put 4 on each door real nice. but at this point i want to go with 2 per door. that should be good enough.

as was asking about 4-way as all the 3-way have a sub stage and i dont want sub stage in front. so was looking at some 4-way and i would only use the 3 out of 4 . if that makes any cents. i want something i can control my ( tweeters--6.5's -- 8"'s ) so that would be ( high's -- mids-- bass ) .

and my god you ran 15" in your doors... dam.......

so now you know what im missing to a point, and you know what im after what 8" speaker around $50 each do you recommend ? i could go to about $60-70 per. but would like about $50-60.

sorry im not rich god i wish... plus i have to buy another 4 ch amp.

remember i prefer 4 ohm speakers as i wand to wire 2 at 2 ohms to may amp.

and my tests i did i start to miss at about 70 hz to about 150 hz. its there but very weak. so i want to boost that with these 8".

What mids do you have? 900.4 isn't all that power. Have done a direct swap with a Crescendo 1000c4 and the Nendo was much louder.

I have 2 15's in each door getting 300watts each playing down to 40Hz, so not hard to get midbass punch with that setup....

I prefer 8ohm speakers, run 4 off a 4ch amp bridged 2x4ohm....should be plenty of power on any decent amp.

I would do 4 8's per door if you have room. The 3 brands I mentioned are all in your price range and will get the job done.

pretty much in my signature using massive ckx 6x9s crossed for midbass. Its a beefy little woofer but it has horrible sensitivity.

CCF = closed cell foam

MLV = mass loaded vinyl

CLD = constrained layer damping

anybody ? not sure witch one to get ?

was thinking and im thinking i may just do 4 per door. so im looking at this.... its 8 ohm. so wire 4 per door down to 2 ohm.

that sould workout nice.

but im going to have to get 2 or 4 at a time. but that will be fine.
