What amplifier would i need for 2 10 inch JBL subs?

the subs have RMS of 275W each and peak power of 1100W each. theyre gonna be put in the trunk of my acura tl so i dont need them at their peak but i want a quality bang out of them. so what amp sort of amp should i get for cheap? and should it be two channel or what? i have no knowledge in this area please help. the more specific the better

What's the voice coil configuration for each sub? Single or dual voice coil? 4ohm or different? Use a mono amp regardless, we just need to find out what ohm load you'll need the power at.

Get a mono amp that does 500-750 watts at 2ohms, and you'll be set. There are JBL and Kicker models that do that if you're interested in staying mainstream.

You look at the amps power rating. Look for RMS wattage, not "PEAK" or MAX" wattage. As long as you buy a good brand, you can be sure that the amp will do it's rated power. Crappy brands will inflate these numbers.
