what a review...not!

The review is not entirely incorrect its just a bit overdone... The guy is actually hitting on other brands while he should simply state the functionality and the efficiency of the visonik amp.

Personally I would rate visonik higher then MTX and RF when coming to monoblocks, SQ of mtx and RF Is much better then visonik if you ask me. For powering the woofer I would prefer the visonik for:

1. Design

2. Stable 1ohm mode

3. Endurance components (open one up, its pretty high quality shit)

Regardless of the products quality, the review indeed sux //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i do not have any exxperience witha visonik amp, but the reason why I highlighted this review was cause it was clear that he was some sort of visonik dealer. I don't know about SQ of RF's... they pound, yeah, but SQ? Hmm, maybe it's gotta do with my old 8ohm 8mm xmx subs, but still, RF's aren't bad, jst expensive.

1ohm stability onl for quality subs is not true. It's probably a SPL junkie amp if it is, cause the last time I checked, ultra expensive SQ amps from McInotsh, Audison, tube driver, etc, are NOT 1ohm stable. Most of them are merely 4ohm mono stable.

Again, I do not have any experience with any visonik amps, so I wouldn't know. I merely get a rough idea what kind of amp/sub it is by the honest comments made on this forum by people who has had experience with it. I was about to purchase a visonik amp myself, seeing that it was offered in ebay quite cheap, But lucky for me, I managed to locate OEM amp mftrs, that is capable of probiding quality amps at a very cheap price. (custom made amps available too upon request) Now, THESE amps I would be able to comment when I get them.

Might as well mention all the amps that I have had personal experience with (not just installing, but an amp to call my own):

RF, blade (grenade pin series), PPI art series (for a short time), made in china brandless amp (burnt while trying to push first generation earthquake 12"), kicker module amps.

hu: sony, alpine, pionner, JVC, Aiwa.

subs: Earthquake, kicker free-air, RF's, prestige in bandpass, pioneer tire-well subs.

it's only these brands that I can comment, based on my PERSONAL experience ( didn't install most of them myself either, it was a shop), but all of them were a long time ago, and time has changed, equipments have changed...

I've had my dad's car to have experience with car audio since I was about 10~12, I think.

so, anyone, ask away, I'll fill you in with info so old, it'll have cobwebs on it.

If you can hear an audible difference between a visonik 900xd(at 1 0hm) and a RF 1500(at 2 ohms), then give me your ears, because you would be a freak of nature with the best hearing in the world.

It's been said before, and I will say it again, most of the distortion is created by the driver itself, not the amp. THD is quite overrated when it comes to amps.

You hit the nail right on the head....lol... what he says is true, you won't be able to tell a difference in the SQ between the two amps. I think I remember some sort of deal someone had going where they would pay someone that could produce an amp that you could tell the difference in SQ. Anyhow, just thought I'd drop by and say hey to all you people.

Wasn't it Richard Clark's $10,000 thing? Or was that with the wire?

I don't think we really know each other, but I've heard good things about ya!! Good to have you back!

I think it was R.C.'s 10,000 deal, I believe he required the amps to produce the same amount of power or something like that. If someone wants to do a search on the forum they would find the link to the actual specifications. But I'm too lazy to do it, but I remember seeing it posted, I think Josh or Ramos had posted it a while back if I'm not mistaken, I can't remember. I'll drop in from time to time, but I sold my system and I'm transferring to UCF to get my bachelor's degree, hopefully I won't have to work anymore //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Traitor!!!!!

Hehe, good luck in school though, and come here as much as ya can!!

RC also did a test with several amps, he used a McIntosh tube amp (I believe?), a JL monoblock, and something like a Profile or a JBL...and he found that they all have the same distortion when pushed to their maximum output (basically clipping). I'm too lazy to search too....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

in reference to the comments made about RF and MTX in the review and earlier in this thread, dont bash MTX and RF for not having 1Ohm stable amps. IMO it is nice to actually find an amp that fits my system, rather than having wasted power. There are those setups (1.5Ohms for me, 2Ohms final for my buddy) that are at 2Ohms, so we need 1500W amps that will push that kind of power into that independence.

saying Visonik or MA audio are underrated is being a **** fool in it's own. that right there tipped me off 1 he's an idiot and 2 he's stupid which are basically one in the same but i felt i'd bash him twice hehe. MA audio and Visonik are overrated in all the applications i've worked with them in. a buddy of mine is sponsored by MA and another by Visonik both say their amps don't put out the rated power. and 90% efficient lmfao! i've never heard of any amps being that efficient but maybe some are but def. not the "class X" which is really no dif. than a Class D it's a marketing scam.

I'm too lazy to check but isn't the 8100D 1-ohm stable?
