Personally I would rate visonik higher then MTX and RF when coming to monoblocks, SQ of mtx and RF Is much better then visonik if you ask me. For powering the woofer I would prefer the visonik for:
1. Design
2. Stable 1ohm mode
3. Endurance components (open one up, its pretty high quality shit)
Regardless of the products quality, the review indeed sux //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Paik: u dont like visonik ?
i do not have any exxperience witha visonik amp, but the reason why I highlighted this review was cause it was clear that he was some sort of visonik dealer. I don't know about SQ of RF's... they pound, yeah, but SQ? Hmm, maybe it's gotta do with my old 8ohm 8mm xmx subs, but still, RF's aren't bad, jst expensive.
1ohm stability onl for quality subs is not true. It's probably a SPL junkie amp if it is, cause the last time I checked, ultra expensive SQ amps from McInotsh, Audison, tube driver, etc, are NOT 1ohm stable. Most of them are merely 4ohm mono stable.
Again, I do not have any experience with any visonik amps, so I wouldn't know. I merely get a rough idea what kind of amp/sub it is by the honest comments made on this forum by people who has had experience with it. I was about to purchase a visonik amp myself, seeing that it was offered in
ebay quite cheap, But lucky for me, I managed to locate OEM amp mftrs, that is capable of probiding quality amps at a very cheap price. (custom made amps available too upon request) Now, THESE amps I would be able to comment when I get them.
Might as well mention all the amps that I have had personal experience with (not just installing, but an amp to call my own):
RF, blade (grenade pin series), PPI art series (for a short time), made in china brandless amp (burnt while trying to push first generation earthquake 12"), kicker module amps.
hu: sony, alpine, pionner, JVC, Aiwa.
subs: Earthquake, kicker free-air, RF's, prestige in bandpass, pioneer tire-well subs.
it's only these brands that I can comment, based on my PERSONAL experience ( didn't install most of them myself either, it was a shop), but all of them were a long time ago, and time has changed, equipments have changed...
I've had my dad's car to have experience with car audio since I was about 10~12, I think.
so, anyone, ask away, I'll fill you in with info so old, it'll have cobwebs on it.
