what 6.5 comps for under 100?

You can, but then you get a mono signal to your right and left speakers.I know what your saying, bridge the 2channel for the 300w that way your getting 150 at 2 on each side, but with speakers you want those two channels. not mono. thats not to mention that that cadence is not 2 ohm stable bridged.

if the speakers are rated at 60, 75 is plenty.

typically with front stage, you dont want to bridge anything into mono.

only scenario where you might do that is 4 channels and you bridge the two right channels and the two left channels.
ya thats what i need help on is wiring them. subs with a mono amp i understand but this stuff i do not. so lets say i go with this set what do i need the amp to be able to provide at least 120 RMS at for the pair?

am i thinking about it wrong? since its two channels if i get 4 ohm speakers i wire onespeaker to one channel and the other speaker to the other channel. getting me to 4 ohm load out of each channel? so for that cadence i would be getting 75 from each channel? or do i have it wrong? thanks for the help.

get the pioneer 720's.
I was blown away at the difference between these and my old polk momo set, that cost quite a bit more.
ya i think im going to go with the PG RSDs. and this kicker amp this and a set of PG RSDs for 170 all together i think it should sound pretty good.

maybe this is just me, but i'm not sure those PG's will keep up with your aaarrrhhhhs man. If you're subs hit harder than mine, which you say they do, i think you should be pushing at least 100 rms to your comps instead of 75, we do have the same subs which is why i am putting in my 2 cents here.

ya that's what i'm afraid of. I mean right now i have my HU powering some infinitys and they do alright. so i think ill be happy with it. if not i can also ways upgrade agian lol.

yeah, but then you will just be wasting money. I went from pioneer coaxials- alpine type s comps- cdt CL's - Diamond Hex S600s and i finally got what i wanted. If i would have just spent the extra $50 on the hex's in the first place i would have been much happier.

The PG's are probably good, but if your subs are louder than mine, i would think about it a little more.

how much power and at what ohm would i need to power the hexs? im open to suggestions. id rather do it right the first time even if i have to wait a week before i buy.

well, their 150x2 at 4 ohms. You would need 150x2 at 4 ohms.I know you want to go as cheap as possible with the amp, so you should buy this one. trust me on this, it is worth every penny. You can't get a better deal IMO.

Ikesound are dumbasses for selling these amps so cheap, check this out, it does 150x2 bridged. It's a 4 channel amp BTW.

did u buy yours from ike sound? im not necessarily wanting to go cheap on amp. i have 200 to spend on amp and comps.

hell yeah, the diamond hex's are $200 themselves though. The Orion HP amps are great, they are a refurb which is why they are so cheap, but if you have a problem ever they have a warranty on refurbs as well at ikesound. That amp is worth over $160 new and retailed for $350 a few years back.
