were to run wiring from door panels?

Im puttin in come comps in my door and im going to amplify them. but i dont know where/ how i should run the wiried from my door to the amp. That tube that goes from the door to the side of the car that caries all the wires is blocked off. ANy solution?

i went through the wire grommet the factory uses, wire coat hangers are your friend.

The piece that is "blocked off" will come out. It probably connects on the other side and can be unplugged. Just drill a hole in the plastic and run the wire thorough it.

actually i learned that some cars are impossible like mine to get through the groment. so I led wire from the amp to the groment, used the dactory speaker wire into the door. then reattached to speaker wire to crossover. worked for me

It's called a molex, theres a thread about it, I believe on the12volt.com forums

It's not a fun process but can be done, search for it, theres a few threads about it

my jeep has the a plastic piece that plugs into another plastic piece where the grommet first enters the door, and it definitely blocks it off, i just drilled a 3/8 hole in it for the wire to go through, worked good for me, but the factory speaker wire idea is a good one, i wish i wouldve thought of that at the time, haha

x2, it was only a really short run, about 5 feet or so, thats not going to make or break you, but it's nice to have aftermarket wire of a heavier gauge in there in you can

So how do your doors come off if you can't disconnect the molex?

some guys have comps that would need better speaker wire than factory, but for my little alpine type r comps it works fine.

Dude, I'm runnning CDT Hds with 300wrms a side, trust me, my car didn't blow up, catch fire or anything of the sort

It's just 5 ft of a small gauge wire

Some cars without a molex just have a rubber seal thats all taped up into the factory harness. Just cut the tape off, fish the wire through and tape it back up.
