Went to the Shooting range and...

That would be buck shot then, bird shot is pellet.
no, a buckshot is the same as a bird shot it just has bigger pellets.. it's for bucks. slug shots are what i shot, not buck shots. although, i did shoot buck shots that day too, but i am talking about slugs.

a range let you shoot slugs?
yea, they have AR's and some other guns u can rent too.

My pride and joy at the moment. Three different Brownings. One Light Twenty Guage, one Twelve Guage, and a Auto .22 cal.

My favorite gun to actually use for deer at the moment is my Ithaca Deerslayer Twelve Guage. I've also got numerous others, random .22 caliber remingtons and winchesters. Double barel twelve guage from the 1920's. I love shooting the precusion cap black powder rifle.

i absolutly love my ruger 10/22. most fun to shoot out of all the guns, and it wont cost you more than 5 bucks for the day.
and there is sooooooooo much you can do with a 10/22 . More aftermarket parts than any other 22 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Glad you had fun //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I need to go shooting. I think Ill take the ruger out tonight to the range.
see there's an advantage to living in hillbillyville . Range = friends back yard //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

It was the same when I lived in Arkansas. My backyard was the range. Unfortunately, If I did that now the cops would be at my house in 2 minutes and I would potentially have a few dead neighbors.

I still get some practice at home on the pellet gun against the black birds/crows //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

No dead neighbors here ( backstop is a mountain ) but the cops usually show up pretty quick . old fart down the street calls them everytime. Cops come out , tell him we're doing nothing illegal , pop off a couple rounds if we'll let them, then leave. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

oh i know, there are tons of parts for the 10/22. everywhere you look, there is just a special section just for them.

I put them back in the humidor after the "photo shoot".

I do like Springfield, compared to Glock (that is the closest comparison), but not necessarily because of the name or the features, the Glock to me has an uncomfortable grip angle, alot of people can't/don't feel the difference, but when you start shopping around, the best test is how fast you can acquire a "target".

I am glad to see that there are still others that are "into" firearms, in this pu$$ified world, guns are becoming people's worst enemies.

If you are interested in more information for stuff like Concealed Handgun Licenses (just about all states have them), drop me a PM and I can give you a bunch of web-sites to eyeball.

I am not some NRA nutjob by the way, I have a wife and four kids and it's my responsibility to protect them and keep them safe. I am a normal white-shirt and tie computer consultant and just don't feel the BGuy's should have the upper hand.

Each Gun has it's place:

- 40 cal Springfield - Around the house or in places where I have a jacket on and can still conceal well

- 9 mm - more concealable, I wear this about 80% of the time

- KelTec .380 - very small gun, it's a handful (because of it's size). It disseapears in your dress pants pocket

- Walther P22 - .22 for having fun. My wife likes to shoot this as does my 14 year old son.

Good Luck and do alot of research before you buy, springfield has a talk forum at http://www.xdtalk.com, it's not sponsored by springfield, just a bunch of enthusiasts. There is also glocktalk.com and thefiringline.com (to balance it out).
