I put them back in the humidor after the "photo shoot".
I do like Springfield, compared to Glock (that is the closest comparison), but not necessarily because of the name or the features, the Glock to me has an uncomfortable grip angle, alot of people can't/don't feel the difference, but when you start shopping around, the best test is how fast you can acquire a "target".
I am glad to see that there are still others that are "into" firearms, in this pu$$ified world, guns are becoming people's worst enemies.
If you are interested in more information for stuff like Concealed Handgun Licenses (just about all states have them), drop me a PM and I can give you a bunch of web-sites to eyeball.
I am not some NRA nutjob by the way, I have a wife and four kids and it's my responsibility to protect them and keep them safe. I am a normal white-shirt and tie computer consultant and just don't feel the BGuy's should have the upper hand.
Each Gun has it's place:
- 40 cal Springfield - Around the house or in places where I have a jacket on and can still conceal well
- 9 mm - more concealable, I wear this about 80% of the time
- KelTec .380 - very small gun, it's a handful (because of it's size). It disseapears in your dress pants pocket
- Walther P22 - .22 for having fun. My wife likes to shoot this as does my 14 year old son.
Good Luck and do alot of research before you buy, springfield has a talk forum at
http://www.xdtalk.com, it's not sponsored by springfield, just a bunch of enthusiasts. There is also glocktalk.com and thefiringline.com (to balance it out).
