lol well with deer and rabbit i would use two completely diff guns...rabbit i would use 22 anything else and you will just ruin the meat... as far as deer go i made a mistake... I deer hunt with a 7mm (clasic case of over power) living in cali our deep are not that big at all and the 7 is powerfull and almost sucks to shoot.. i take three shots and dont feel like shooting it any longer... of course for hunting that isnt a problem... only need one shot before you spook the animal but the problem with the 7 is that the load will tavel as far as 5 miles... much longer then most so i have to use caution as to witch shots i can and can not take....i dont want to shoot from a hillside into open air for miles cause it could potentially hurt something...if i could go back and pick a diff firearm i would but oh well.... so like mentioned before it will all depend on where your going to hunt... the type of game(type of deer in your case) and the land around you... how populated etc... anyone else here hunt in cali or nevada ?

thx, im hoping to get an ok from my nattalion commander to go to the armys extreme long range sniper school. its solely based on the 50 cal rifle and targets in excess of 2000 yards

hk has what is cinsidered one of the most if not the most, accurate gas operated rifles in the worl. its the psg-91 i think. ill look for a link to a site that may have a pic.

Out of all the guns I ever shot, my favorite is my little .22 rabbit gun. Its a little bolt action thats approx 2 feet long. I love the **** thing for hunting pests like gophers. nope, i wish i got them for free. not even a discount. i just buy them online a pay a small fee to my ffl dealer and he brings it in for me. to expensive to but from shops here in hawaii.

yup, the 22 mag is fun for me too. i shoot mongoose here in hawaii with that rifle. super super accurate and fun as hell

i absolutly love my ruger 10/22. most fun to shoot out of all the guns, and it wont cost you more than 5 bucks for the day.
