welding wire

Ok I will give a few welding shops a call. You are right just do it 1/0 and forget about it... Do you think I should run 1/0 to the rear also or just stay with the 4 gauge I have?
if you do 1/0, do it all. if the front to back run is 4ga, then doing everything else in 1/0 has no benefit (other than the big3)

So 25 foot or so do it all? I will do the big 3 first and then when I get a larger fuse holder that take 1/0 and a couple dist blocks I will run the power to the rear with it also.

Ok got all I need to do the big 3. When the fuse holder and dis blocks come I will go get the wire for the power to the rear.

its broken down something like this i think... the higher the strand count the lower the resistance and the easier it is for voltage to flow through the wire, thats why car audio wire has very high strand count of thin wires. IMO i would go with a wire thats meant to do what you want it to do, run a car audio setup.
Not true at all. Also, voltage doesn't flow, current does. Voltage is the difference in potential between two places. Sorry, but it bugs me when people misuse current & voltage:laugh:

Did the big 3 on my sons car tonight. Used 1/0 and it took about 45 min is all. The car idles so much better def helped it out. Still have some very very minor dimming when cranking the 13w7 w/1000/1 and running the jl 300/4. Weird thing is I think the jl 300/4 pulls more wattage then the crunch 900/4 we pulled out did. The biggest difference was sound quality form the new jl 300/4. Over all it seems good and worth while.. Next weekend after the fuse holders and dis blocks come in I will run 1/0 to the rear batt and then to fused dis block and then out from another dis block for the ground and I will call it good. Sons all smiles now that's all that matters to me.

Peace

Oh yea I forgot to say voltage at both amps prior to the Big 3 I tested right before at 12.8. After doing the Big 3 both were staying at 14.1 and not dropping below 13.6 hitting pretty hard.
