Welding Wire vs. Anything else

When you get that roll in, compare it to the size of Kolossus Kable you have, let me know what gauge they really sold you. Sadly copper is not getting cheaper, its actually at a record high - in some cities scrap is at like $1.80/lb and empty houses are being gutted of copper piping by theives....even power lines have been stolen from a town!!
Well, I've changed my mind again. I'm just gonna get another amp kit from you guys off of ebay. It will match, plus I really like it. Might pick up a roll of some good-size speaker wire and few extra feet of ground...

HeloTaxi FTW! Also, the pic they use to show the 1/0 gauge wire you're buying looks tiny, But ofcourse it's just a pic. 2/0 gauge to a tx1505 and stock electrical > you.

EDIT: Pointless too.

Wire from Welding Supply is not AWG.

I've used plenty of it before...have over 100ft of 1/0 from them and a bunch of 4/0...their 1/0 is not 0 AWG, the 4/0 isn't 4/0 AWG //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Still good wire, though.

As far as flexibility, I haven't seen any wire come close to the Kicker power wire.

Would you say there 2/0 gauge is the same size as 1/0 awg? What size of there wire should I get that is the size of 2/0 awg?

Can we get a ruler next to those? There are differences in materials, so I would go with the Raptor over Welding wire. However though if the Raptor 1/0 is really closer to 2AWG, its really not that spectacular of a price - what they charge for shipping? On ebay you can get 20Ft for $10 with $20 shipping PLUS insurance //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

YOu guys will like this.

This is a shot of three-conductor 750MCM next to a 2" IMC coupling. The coupling is 2.5" in diameter so that gives you an idea of how large this stuff is. Picture is misleading though as the cable is actually about 3.1" in diameter. This stuff weighs 18lbs. per foot!!!

And here's a shot of 750kcmil next to the three-conductor.
