Welding Wire vs. Anything else

car audio wires have a much higher stand count but dc current runs on the outer most diameter so the more stands the more flow you get that would be the most advantage to use car audio wire
What you are referring to is "skin effect" and is an AC phenomena, not DC. For DC transmission cross-sectional area is all that matters. Copper buss bars are actually the best though far from the most practical solution of DC power transmission.

why on that site is the "power cable" almost $15 more than the "battery wire" for the same gauge/length? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Because Red is more popular than blue.

the 2/0 gauge wire i got from http://www.weldingsupply.com is extremely flexible and i used my ddm to read the resistance across a 30 ft length of it and it read 0.3. i also read the resistance of a 10 ft piece of raptor 1/0 ga. wire and the resistance read 0.8 so in this regard i determine that my welding wire is just as suited if not 0.5 ohms MORE suited to use then the "car audio" wire.
